The Centres for Rare Iron Disorders and Wilson’s Disease are organising a
National Symposium on Rare Heavy Metal Diseases
on Friday 23 January 2015, in Paris
This symposium on heavy metal diseases is intended for physicians, biologists and paramedical personnel. It will provide an opportunity for an update on rare diseases related to heavy metals. The presence of experts in these different areas will enable debate on the numerous metabolic, clinical, biological and even radiological links between copper, iron, zinc or manganese, etc.

on Tuesday 17 June in Paris, from 13:00 to 17:00 at Hôpital Lariboisière.

Results of the « EuroWilson 2012 » patient questionnaire
Following an initial questionnaire in 2011 which was designed to improve the management of patients with Wilson’s disease and better understand their needs and expectations as well as those of their families, a new questionnaire was compiled in 2012. This focused in particular on the diagnosis and treatment of Wilson’s disease patients.

PROGRESSIVE LENTICULAR DEGENERATION: A FAMILIAL NERVOUS DISEASE ASSOCIATED WITH CIRRHOSIS OF THE LIVER by S.A.K WILSON, MD, MRCP which gave rise to an original paper in the Revue de Neurologie and a publication of more than 200 pages in BRAIN. To mark this centenary, the British Association for the Study of the Liver organised an international symposium in London on 5/6 October 2012.
